• Font Dialog
  Microsoft Office x64 editions do not include a standard font dialog in the properties' dialog. As a workaround, an extra font dialog for x64 versions was added to the TBarCode panel.
• EMF Conversion
  The handling of conversion errors in the Excel Add-In was improved.
• Protected Excel Sheets
  Updating barcodes in protected Excel sheets is now possible.

Smart Database Connector

Data is captured as usual with the Scan-IT to Office App on your smartphone or tablet. The Smart Database Connector stores the collected data in any SQL database accessible via ODBC (e.g. Microsoft™ Access™, SQL Server, SQL Express, Oracle™, etc.). This tool is installed on Microsoft™ Windows desktop computers or servers and runs as system service in the background.

In addition to an enhanced EPC QR Code (for SEPA payment transactions), the Swiss QR Code can now be generated online for free. These are the improvements in detail:

EPC QR Code
An easy to use input form for the required data fields (receiver, payment information, reference, creditor) was introduced.

Swiss QR Code (V2.0)
The Swiss QR Code is now available in three additional formats. Select between:

• Swiss QR Code - No Reference
  This code is used for payments without structured reference.
• Swiss QR Code - Creditor Reference
  The internationally used Creditor Reference (ISO 11649) enables the creditor to compare invoices and incoming payments automatically.
• Swiss QR Code - QR Reference
  This code is used with a valid QR-IBAN. It also enables the creditor to compare invoices and incoming payments auto­matically.

Scanner Keyboard (formerly Barcode/NFC Scanner Keyboard), TEC-IT's Android keyboard with integrated scanners for barcodes, text and NFC tags underwent a major reengineering. The new version centers on user requested improvements and thus further enhances productivity and accuracy. These are the highlights:

• NEW: Text Recognition (OCR)
  The integrated text scanner (OCR), converts camera images to text within seconds. Typewriting text is a thing of the past. Just take a picture of a document (invoice, bill, shipping label, etc.) - Latin-based text in this document is detected automatically and inserted into arbitrary target apps for further editing or immediate use.
• NEW: Selective Barcode Scanning
  Users are now able to choose between two integrated camera barcode scanners. The Traditional Barcode Scanner as used in previous versions is ideal for older phone models. The newly introduced Advanced Barcode Scanner provides selective barcode scanning, a very valuable feature if multiple bar­codes are visible in the scan view: Just tap on the barcode of interest to scan it.
• NEW: In-Screen Camera Selection and Flashlight Switch
  Activate the flashlight or switch between front and back camera while scanning. This simplifies work under suboptimal scanning conditions.

How Do I Create My Own Layouts?

1. Install TFORMer Designer, our professional labeling software with full barcode support, on your PC.
2. Create the desired label layout using TFORMer Designer.
3. Save the layout as ZIP or TFZ file (File -> Save As).
   Note: .TFZ files will be supported by the upcoming TFORMer Designer V8.
4. Upload it to your Online Label Generator account. Custom layouts are available immediately after upload.
5. To print your layouts, just provide the variable label data.
