Registry key

  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TEC-IT\PrintServer\CurrentVersion\TRACE
"TRACELEVEL"=dword:00000000

specifies the level of detail of the trace entries.

Consists of five bits:

5 4 3 2 1
| | | | +-- - Function calls level 3 (helper functions)
| | | +---- - Function calls level 2 (less important)
| | +------ - Function calls level 1 (important)
| +-------- - Internal program errors only
+---------- - Almost no traces (start/end only)

Value 0: turns off all traces
Value 1F: turns on all traces
Value 1C: recommended default setting
