TFORMER Workstation is a fast and convenient way of printing professional barcode and logistics labels without programming. Ready-to-use label templates support the creation of standardized labels for production, warehousing and shipping. Variable data can be entered manually or imported from Excel/CSV – high-quality labels are printed on your preferred printer within minutes.

Label Templates and Standards

Choose from predefined templates that cover typical use cases such as product labels, shipping and logistics tags, GS1-compliant labels as well as pallet and warehouse labels. Templates can be provided and customized with TFORMER Designer and are organized by category and standard.

Manual Data Entry

After selecting a template, the print screen shows all input fields required for this layout. Users simply type in the variable data – for example material number, lot, weight or number of pallets – and add the record to the job list. No layout knowledge or design skills are required.

Excel and CSV Import

TFORMER Workstation supports printing with variable data from external files. Use the Import function on top of the job list to load Excel (.xlsx) or CSV data, map your columns to the template variables and review the preview list before confirming. Each data record generates one label, and an optional column can define the number of copies per record.

Job List and History

The integrated job list acts as your print history. Newly entered or imported data is stored automatically, modified values are written back after printing and the job status changes to "Printed" when the print job has been generated successfully.

High-Resolution Label Preview

A built-in high resolution preview allows you to verify that all barcodes and fields appear correctly before printing. From the template selection you can open a full-size preview, and in the print screen you can zoom in and inspect details to avoid misprints and unreadable labels.

Filtering and Search

Each column of the job list provides a filter field. Enter a partial value, such as a material number or order ID, to narrow down the list and quickly find the record you need. This is especially useful in environments with a high number of labels and recurring print jobs.

Template Management

Custom templates can be added by placing TFORMER form files (TFF) into the Custom Templates folder. An optional layouts configuration file allows you to define how templates are grouped and displayed, enabling a tailored templates screen that only shows layouts relevant to your company or workflow.

Printer Configuration and Zebra Support

For each template you can define the default printer, adjust orientation and media size and take advantage of the built-in TFORMER ZPL II driver. Using the dedicated Zebra driver ensures optimized print quality, correct label dimensions, and reliable output on thermal transfer devices.

High-Resolution Preview – Check label content and barcode appearance in a high resolution preview before printing. Zoom functions allow you to inspect details and avoid incorrect printouts.
Template Management – Add custom TFORMER form files (TFF) to the Custom Templates folder and define how they are grouped and displayed using a layouts configuration file.
Printer Settings – Configure printers and media settings in the Printer Settings menu. Adjust orientation, media size and printer type to match your label stock and hardware.
 
Zebra ZPL II Driver – For Zebra® printers, use the dedicated TFORMER ZPL II driver to generate optimized output and ensure the correct label size and barcode quality.
Label Designer – Create and maintain label layouts with TFORMER Designer and deploy them as templates for TFORMER Workstation, ensuring a consistent label design.

Serial Numbers

TFORMer Workstation supports the use of serial numbers within form and label layouts and bar codes.

In TFORMer Designer you specify the data fields which should be used as serial numbers. Whenever a document layout utilizes such a data field (e.g. a consecutive shipping number in an GM-1724 Barcode Label), TFORMer ensures that this number is automatically incremented for each printout.

By use of shared template files you can store the serial numbers in a central location. Other users in the network are able to use the same serial number pool. It is guaranteed that serial numbers are unique, even when used by multiple users in parallel.

Licenses can be purchased on a per-workstation (or user) basis. Should you need more licenses, please contact us - we'll gladly prepare an offer based on your requirements. The prices listed are annual subscriptions with automatic renewal.
