TFORMer Designer gives you a powerful and industry compliant tool for creating layouts of arbitrary forms, reports, lists, tables, labels and serial letters. The layout designer can be used by both software developers and users.

Using the Layout Editor

Drafting report templates is done graphically (WYSIWYG).

TFORMer Designer combines the design and the printing of reports, letters, lists and tables with label generation. You can test all layouts with the actual production data right away and select from several output forms like printer output, PDF, PostScript^®, HTML, bitmap graphics, ZPL-II or as preview. Components like free formatted text, images, the built-in barcode generator, embedded calculations, scripting, printing conditions, the support for tables and labels, arbitrary formats and the integrated paper tray control cover all your needs.

No Layout Programming, Predefined Templates

You design report templates without programming any particular report element. The generated output is always based on the graphical layout design. The formatting logic is completely encapsulated within the layout. The painstaking implementation of print routines or output functions is eliminated.

Predefined templates for industry compliant labels are part of the package.

TFORMer Designer is intuitive, simple and user friendly. It is the only reporting tool on the market which is used for instant printing applications by end users.

Layouts are Independent from Data and Output Format

Document layouts created with TFORMer Designer are completely independent from the output format, the database and the operating system. The data fields inside the layout serve as placeholders for variable data, which can be assigned with actual data values from your application or from an external data source. TFORMer Runtime takes care of the rest of the output generation.

The data fields can be used with intelligent layout and component functions: for calculations, formulas, printing conditions, as text, as barcode content, as dynamic name for image files and for format and tray selection control.

Integrated Barcode Support

Because of the integrated barcode support, TFORMer is specially suited for logistics and industry applications. TFORMer supports all linear barcodes, all 2D barcodes (PDF417, Micro PDF417, DataMatrix, QR-Code,...), RSS Codes and the so-called Composite Barcode Symbologies. Barcode support is available for all output formats (like direct printout or export as PDF, PostScript or Bitmap) without loss of quality.

Trouble-Free Distribution Guaranteed

All document layouts are saved as XML file making distribution or deployment conceivably simple. Problems with data bases, proprietary document formats, international character sets, security settings and so on do not occur at all.

Stand-alone document layouts are available for simple applications. A document layout correlates to an XML file and can be used directly by TFORMer Runtime.

Repositories are used for more comprehensive applications that have a multitude of predefined data fields. A repository defines all available data fields at a central location. End users can build upon this pool of defined data fields and use them for their own reports, tables, forms and labels.

Embed Reports into your Applications

The reporting component, TFORMer Runtime, can be integrated as DLL, Shared Library, COM component, .NET assembly or as stand-alone process into your application with only a few steps. Your program code fills the values of the (variable) data fields either directly or imports the values from an external data source.

As a result you get printouts, PDF files, HTML or PostScript^® in perfect quality. The output is always identical no matter which output format you choose.

TFORMer Runtime generates PDF documents fully automatically (for example, from within ASP or PHP web applications) -- bar codes included. Variable data (e.g. from user input) is inserted into the layout via data fields.
