Ranges

The range of stationary barcode scanners is limited by the maximum permitted cable length (e.g. 3 to 5 meters in case of USB). Class 2 Bluetooth scanners accomplish an operating range of 10 meters under optimal conditions. This range can be enhanced significantly with the use of Bluetooth class 1 devices. Please note that the ranges and the reliability of Bluetooth connections may be influenced by interferences with WiFi systems. The range of a WiFi system depends on the respective infrastructure.
